dead orcs wont go away

in my army menu i have half of the orcs dead but they wont respawn new orcs just the existing ones if they and i just cant seem to free up space

Also fast forward time works also

and just usally kills off a few of my orcs and respawns them but dosent make the dead go away

same here, need new orcs for fortresses but literally 10 guys are just laying there dead for like a day and a half now

If they are "Dead" but won't go away it means they have cheated death but you haven't encountered them since then therefore to your knowledge they are dead and the army screen remains unupdated.

I have staked heads, so they have not cheated death.

i too have staked heads for half the dead ones and im sure ones the head is gone their dead

The gues replacing the dead orcs with ones from the garssion market tab is your only root then

this is a bug i have this kind of thing in every area and even the first guy i killed is still there on the army screen. i have tried many things to try to get them out but it looks like there is no fix atm

Run around the area. Can sometimes take a LONG time, but eventually you will get ambushed. Same thing happened to me. Though, I think some never go away.

Dude i have the same bug. I have like 8 different dead orcs and whenever you try to get yourself killed by another orc it doesn't just take up an already dead orc spot, it makes that orc that killed you battle one thats already existing on the map to the death to take his spot and the ones that are already dead on your map never come back to life, fully die etc. they just take that spot up to the ends of time and its super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.

Known bug judging by WB's own fora + support. As for when/if a fix will come, no news yet.

Yes though sometimes they come back and are not dead, so you get stuck with a corpse for a while.

Has any one tried replaying and completeing the "Army of the Dead" quest a few times? It seems to call up and use older dead orcs then more of the recent ones as you complete it repeatedly.
Not sure if doing this then going back and fiddling around in the areas with problem orcs would work, but I suspect it might.
