this is something that allows us to be in the nemesis system working within it instead of looking and interacting with it from an outside perspective of talion and celebrimbor. It could work as you rise through the ranks from a certain class and tribe of grunt to captain then war chief then pushing even further ovelord. now people might say "what standing around in a throne room and if based during the events of SOW, then waiting for talion to attack or join his side and then wait for sauron seems a bit boring til the sieges" well then you can't see the potential. As overlord is the most prized position in orc society as i doubt any orc is going to be the next dark lord (though this can be discussed later for a different setting), everyone wants your place so while preparing your defences to be attacked you have to deal with orcs under you wanting you dead which means you will be occupied with that. not to metion talion screwing with you as he plans to soften you up for the seige which means spies ( and if they do implement these invasion features which i hope they do then it would amplefied).
Now to top it off you could instead of just one leveling system in the form of reputation you could have two, one being level or return to the tradition of SOM in terms of power being level then you have the second one, reputation or you could call this one power this would be the range of effect you have the world so lets say level to ease confusion is ones personal abilities while reputation or power is the ability to influence or the scale of your influences on the world so how other orcs react to you like how loyal are they going to be. Are you feared enough. this also could work with the classes in the game such as slayers, commanders, assasins which tie into fighting style of type like hunters and defenders, this could work as certain classes, types and to much lesser direct extent tribes. tribes can influence this though through tribal loyality and values placed upon the actions taken
and to finish off if people do not want it based during the events of SOW then you can do it after the events of return of the king and the land of mordor is recovering as you play a orc with in the surviving population after saurons defeat trying to rise to the top and become the new dark or bright lord depeding on the actions of the ork obviously you won't be this good guy orc but you can be one that is not so evil and more grey you still do bad things you still are power hungry just not bent on enslaving middle earth to your will and bringing an eternal darkness even as a new dark lord you goals migt be conquer and enslave but to the glory of the orcs not bring evi incarnate to middle earth as i don't think even orcs in tolkiens universe were inherintly that evil without being under the influence of melkor or sauron. but still evil to the core but a more self centered evil rather than evil incarnate like melkor or sauron.
AND BEFORE ANYONE SAYS IT yes i do believe orcs would still exist in a disorganised and much smaller population because they were created by morgoth not sauron nor do they seem to be sustained by him as when morgoth is gone orcs still exist and when sauron is all but gone while not completely destroyed but for the time being gone from middle earth the orcs stil carried on so yes i think it is likely orcs do still exist but unable to do anything as they would to weak and squabing to do anything that is the end goal to restore the orcs this could be done in many of ways. (this would only be the case if monolith based it after return of the king) it would also involve humans more as they would likely hunt orcs to stop them recovering.
if anyone reads this entire thing thank you for reading also would like to hear what people have to say about these ideas and other problems caused by doing an orc playthrough and how to fix them.
a big shout out to the guy who made this disccusion on steam and the orginal person who came up with this detailed plan on how to do it these are just my thoughts on how to add to the idea
