Why are the Nazgul transparent?
In the movies the Ringwraiths are solid aren't they? In the game they all look like ghosts. Does anyone know the reason for this? Its never mentioned in the game as far as I have heard.

If you saw Hobbit, they were more ghostly appeared.

They're not powerful enough to take a physical (solid) form if I'm correct.

The Nazgul in the books were invisible save for their cloaks and weapons. When Frodo donned the One Ring at Weathertop, he instead perceived them as being withered, ghostly old men.

I can only assume that since Talion is a wraith himself, he can see them as ghostly apparitions. To everyone else, he's probably just flailing about and fighting a floating weapon.

The Nine have only been "reawakened" not long before SoM took place (aka The Hobbit Trilogy), and as another posted, do not yet have enough power to become more materialized.

But at the end , which takes place a couple of years before LOTR, the wraiths are still transparent, unlike in the movies where they wear solid clothes and armor.

Well decades pass between the Hobbit and Fellowship, That was enough time for Sauron to "restore" The Nine, enough, it seems.

Christ. I didn't watch The Hobbit trilogy but by the looks of it they really did butcher the book.

Yeah, this.. I was like, what the hell is happening?!

No wonder they had no problems taking liberties with the story for this game.. jeez.

Oh ok. I just found it wierd that they were all see through. I also still can't get around the fact that only Talion and a few others can see Celebrimbor, yet orcs get hit by him when he swings his glaive and shoots arrows into them... so what's going on? DO orcs also see him?

In the original trilogy, the Nazguls are shrouded by dark cloaks for all their appearances. The appearance in this is a mix of the original movie trilogy's robed appearance with the Hobbit movie trilogy's armored ghostly appearance.
