So much more Tolkeinesque than the Orcs, I find it hilarious people are whining about Carnan's voice but they are ok with orcs who all talk like cartoon villains and henchemen with terrible accents from the 80s, I swear I expected one of them to reveal his evil plan to steal the Power Sword from He-Man (or let him know he can save 15% in just 15 minutes with Geico)
Toks made one of the most memorable characters of Shadow of War, long after I've forgotten about Etariel or Baranor or any of the other side characters ill remember Carnan.
Also considering Carnan's apart of the world's cycle itself in some descriptions, it does make sense for them to talk in a more outdated, 'Old English' as "thy find it befitting", consdering Tolkein takes inspiration derived from certain areas of the world itself.
Like, doesn't the title hint at it enough? Our planet's called Earth, his region he based it on is called Middle-Earth essentially...
Tbh I think Monolith managed to give the Orcs more character than Tolkein originally did, especially the social-structure of Mordor's Orc Army in that sense, from simple "Kill this, kill that" types of Orcs to a type of Orc that relies brutally on Strength and has the threatening intellectual capacity of an average torturer of King Henry the Eigth...
Also agree, her voice is annoying to me AF and I can't listen to it.
hahahaha
Whatever man, good voice over imo.
KILL THE BALROG... BECAUSE.... REASONS
