Talion's in-game face needs cosmetic surgery
His face was much more detailed in Shadow of Mordor. At least with the official HD texture pack. Now as they made more detailed faces to Shadow of War, somehow Talion's face actually became less detailed, like it's hardly even the same character.

Has anyone else the felling this "less details" make him look junger? I don't like this, since he is a veteran warrior, griefing with loss... he shouldn't look like a boy soldier freshly recruited.

An example picture so that we have an objective point of reference: *click*[gematsu.com]
Emotionless Ken from Barbie (as in, literally. Just look at that shiny plastic...). That's all needed to be said.

Beard is not a choice. If you don't have one, you're not a man. Period.

dude, probably i have better beard than you.
Anyway they should give the choice to change beard, or having a dynamic one like in the witcher.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I haven't touched my goatee since circa 2007.

Back to topic, I'm not sure a simple beard would save Talion's face.

oh well, suffer me now

I suspect the change to make talion shaved and clean like that was because of the equipment system. Essentially Talion's customizable look via various equipment etc made it so that his face was made plain (stuff like clipping with beard etc would be a problem without a lot of extra coding.) It could even be that his face can get dynamically damanged until respawn or something.

Everything about his entire head is just wrong; compared to SoM.
`Creative Jul 26, 2017 @ 6:31am
Yea, how he looked in SoM was much better. More appealing in a " i'd tap that " sort of way :P

I never liked his face in SoM, but I grew used to it with Lord of the Hunt.
Now his new face looks....

His new face looks like they were going for a discount Aragorn, which might not be so bad if the entire Shadow of... Series didn't feel like they went out of their way in some places to distance themselves *just* enough from the representations in the LOTR films.

As for the textures, a lot of the content shown looks strangely less detailed, but I never paid attention to what system they were running on. At least they're not wasting resources trying to port to the 360/PS3 this time around.

Yeah, the new face doesn't sit right with me either. Almost doesn't feel like the same man.
