Report a translation problem
That was my idea too, and it would make sense, since the game shows the explored areas it woudl mean she can recall what was there, thus move more securely there
The problem is, this would only be usable in some chapters. Certain events reset explored areas meaning Rae will still be walking slower.
Hence why a run/walk faster key would be ideal. It wouldn't be hindered by certain events.
But it would break the lore
Why would it? Even blind people can choose to walk at a faster pace whenever they want.
Because part of the lore is that she's a blind little gilr that obviously behaves careful and is easily frightened... it doesn't really fit for her to run around imo :P
In fact, why not offer a preset selection of walking speeds in the game called Slower (ha!), Normal (default), Faster, Fastest? It doesn't have to be considered running anyway but rather a fast-forward thing for when you're having to cross a large area to find the right path.
It might not suit your "vision" but more choice in my view is better than none at all. Reviewers are quick to criticise slow walking speeds, e.g. as with the recent Everybody's Gone to the Rapture on PS4 (which the developer forgot to mention had a run control!).
i'll send you the invoice for having it professionally reverted :)
