Water contamination not going down?
I had black rain a while ago and it contaminated my water close to 100%, when the black rain stopped the contamination stayed at 59% and still has not gone any lower, my water filter is at 96%, I fixed it just to be sure, I disabled the filter and it raised the contamination level to 61% before I could enable it again seconds later. The black rain stopped and there's even regular rain now but the contamination level is not steadily declining like it usually does. What am I doing wrong?

It's gone down now, but can anybody tell me why this happens and how to prevent or fix it?

If it's raining, your contamination doesn't go down.

Decontamination, in a sense, stops reducing contamination during rain/black rain because it is working to filter the new water that is seeping in.

Once the rains stop, the filter will focus solely on the remaining water in your water butts and that is when your contamination will go down.

I have had this happen before recently. A couple days went by after it stopped raining with no drop in the contamination level. I saved and exited the game, and when I restarted the contamination started coming down.
