Are your people clean when they eat? try making them take a shower before hand.
Vulpsune Aug 7, 2015 @ 6:33pm
also make sure the area around where they are eating is clean and that they are cooking the food with an oven.

Can you cure food poisoning? I've given my people anitbiotics and it doesn't seem to help.

Food poisoning goes away fairly quickly as long as the people get their needs met. It seems to be very tied to cleanliness, always make sure they are in grey cleanliness before you feed them if possible.

Ye i've found making sure that the shelter has been cleaned recently - and making them have a shower helps.

Haven't found a way to cure it yet if they get it - it just goes away after awhile. Antibiotics definitely don't fix it.

The chances of food poisoning is directly tied to your character's Hygiene stat. Always shower first before eating if it is in the red/yellows. Food poisoning happens most often when your survivors return from expeditions with maxed Hunger/Tiredness/Hygiene. Your characters will always prioritize their needs in that order and thus will frequently cause food poisoning.

The solution is fairly easy.

Build your shelter like so.

When your survivors get back immediately get them into the showers, eat then sleep.

Also remember having low hygiene while sleeping wounded increases the chances you will get an infection as well.

Thats probably where antibiotics come in, I havent yet gotten an infection though

Yeah, it took a few times of not being diligent, but now I always make sure that they are clean before eating.

that is a poor shelter for actually surviving an attack. no traps.

you need a "LUXURY BUNK BED"(blueprint) or "ANTI-HEMETICS"(made in the laboratory) to cure food poisoning.

Do higher tier toilets/showers have better efficiency or what makes them better?
Nox Feb 6, 2016 @ 6:31pm
Higher level showers are fasthr / use less water. The highest level shower also reduces trauma.

Having multiple showers is very important.

Has anyone gotten infections before? I haven't came across infections yet, been using the Antibiotics for trades/leaving them behind when the bag is full, but don't wanna get caught pants down when it happens.
Nox Feb 6, 2016 @ 7:04pm
Infections are rare but extremely deadly. I am not sure, but I suspect that cleanliness affects infection (which is reasonable)
