How does one obtain rope?

I'm currently 15 days in, have done many explorations, and am running out of areas to find food in. I've seen that I can build snares, however I can't find rope, which is the only part I need. Is there a way to craft it/buy it/find it?

The best place to find it is generally farms and hardware stores. Though this might not always be the case. Best to try and also get into some trades!

Alright, thanks. But I have done every possible trade (Atleast 12) and searched every place I found (also about ten), so, in my opinion, perhaps an increase in the chance to find some? As I've found two shacks full of guns, ammo, food, and building resources but somehow not a single rope.

I have this problem too! I can't find rope anywhere....

Is based on a lot of luck, if the respawn system worked properly it would been a lot better. But if you get only a couple of shots at a location before it either slow down or decide to stop spawning stuff entirely then it can sometimes become a huge problem.

During my last run I was very lucky however and ended up with 17 ropes by day 30-40.

i guess im lucky, rope is really common for me, i got like 23 and still find it everywhere

I'm starting to learn this game is mostly random chance. ;)

This game mostly needs some severe balancing in content/loot drops. Stuff like plastic and wool are both available in real life in infinite quantities, and are staples for crafting in Sheltered.
