Mass Suffocation
Hey what's up with all my people dying of suffocation? Why does the meter under the days of the year, the % sign, why does that go up or down? Like I try to keep a close eye on it because my OTHER family died of suffocation in the same way, but now my newest family got almost to day 100 and they also all started suffocating. It was like after there's a scene of RPG battle, you know it will go back to the shelter, like fade in from black. It was normal before the fight, then right after the fight the groups both come back, and they ALL start suffocating. The oxygen filter was at 100%, the generator was at 100%, but suddenly the percentage meter under the day-count had turned to 0, and stayed at 0, no matter what I did. I just re did it again after force closing the application, and the same thing happened despite all my appliances being 100%.

Why does that happen? How can I control that percentage meter? Is that just a bug?

You have to upgrade your oxygen filter, it tells you how many people it can accomadate when you upgrade it.

Yeah, too many people and you overload your filter's capacity.

I don't particularly get this suffocation system since i have no upgrades on my oxygen filter and im accommodating 7 people. I quickly get rid of the 7th because of the amount of food he's taking, nothing up with oxygen at this point. Suddenly my 6 people in my shelter are dying rapidly of suffocation after 10 days of the same oxygen filter and same amount of people in the shelter. What?!

Is your O2 filter in good repair? What does your O2 % say? Its under the clock.
I send people out all the time, so there are usually not the max people in the shelter at the same time.

Since making this original post, the dev's have made quite a few updates. Somewhere along the line they also made it so that there was a slight change to the filtration system, but I did follow the advice of DustBust and basically it was then a choice of balancing the amount of people vs. amount of food vs. amount of water. I made the realization that the balancing basically equates to, stick with the original 4 family members for a while. At least until the second level is completely done.

Question for the devs- do the dog or cat count as a person in the shelter as far as the O2 count goes? For example, if my current upgrade of the oxygen filter can accomodate 8 people, does that mean 7 people and the dog? Or 8 people and the dog doesn't count?

Pretty sure the dog doesn't count.
