After i scanned for radio frequencies i got a message telling me i found a trade caravan and it marked it on my map. - but theres nothing but question marks on my map, and also the yellow "unknown markers".
whats up with that?

Spoiler alert! -- One of those yellow unknown markers on your map is the trade caravan. The other yellow markers are going to be someone who will give you a quest, such as can you find 10 circuit boards and return them to me in 10 days time? If you choose yes, and you can get 10 circuit boards to the guy in time he will give you some stuff as payment, or say he hasn't got anything to give you at that time, but he comes around to your shelter to give them to you later. But be warned: if you say no to the request, you may have to fight it out with them. One guy is very rude and wants "my" stuff right now. (see my post from a couple of days ago "Rubber Dude". Another will ambush you later if you refuse the request. Note: they do not tell you the amount of time you have to complete the quest when you are interacting with them, but if you check the journal in your shelter and click the "Quests" tab at the top, it list all the quests you are currently undertaking and the amount of time to complete each task.
