Alt+F4 helped me, this way game does not rewrite auto-save, to i got back in time to the start of the day. Yeah, savescumming, but of lesser degree than manual copying.
Once me dweller died getting back from expedition, he got little hp and radiation sickness and couldn't make it to the meds on time :P
That's rather unfortunate. Dogs are rather buggy though.
Move shelters and you may get a small chance of having another random pet.
Why would any new player choose any other pet over dog? Horse eats a lot, snake is dangerous, fish is barely useful and a water hog. Cat is nice, but has less uses than a dog. I heard dog can actually sometimes call mice too, really?
Tyres are unique in the sense that you need four, so they added Shacks as spawn locations for Tyres. Otherwise, check the one Large Scrapyard and two Small Scrapyards in each map. Equipping a metal detector may or may not help, I have no concrete information about this item.
