Trauma is too annoying

I did the helicopter crash quest but my character trauma is too high! He killed 3 guys in the quest but that was in self defense! Even if I kill an animal I get trauma!
Trauma should be only acquired when you are BULLYING people and killling them not when you kill in self defense.

If someone charged at me in an abandoned area and i had to fight them to the death (possibly with melee weapons or even my bare fists) i'd be a bit traumatized too.

Trauma is easy, compare this with This War of Mine. Characters even get accustomed to it after a while.

Yeah, the person could be a bit traumatized but not catatonic!

You get half for fights you didnt start (except raids). Learn to rotate your kills.

I almost got catatonic for a fight I didn't start and it looks like that who does the final hit gets all the experience and trauma.

To be fair if the attack is started by someone else other then your expedition party, you should recieve a bit less trauma then usual.

The game already does this, so OP probably needs to remember to send his party back to the shelter to "cool off" the trauma.

What if you are forced to fight a person? You can't instantly send a person back to your shelter.

Manage your fights. Don't have to fight everyone you see, if you don't want them just the location, ask to trade then cancel.

Then knock him out with subdue or flee
