2 years of silence, the game abandoned?
The game seems pretty neat to me. And the community is still onboard. So why there is no more communication?

I dont think the game sold well and in this age of gaming, businesses see no reason to continue support of there is no revenue to be made

It's a shame. People nowadays only care about money, if the game haven't made as much revenue as they wanted - instead of doing something to improve the game people tend to abandon it.

I really hope that they are going to do something about it, modding support, or even completely new Sheltered game, or perhaps someone else will see the potential in this title and make new game that would be similar to this one, but even better.

It seems to be a pretty solid game, what more is there?
I've not encountered any bugs and don't really have any questions, so...
I paid my money, played the game, and that's that. End of story.

If I can play the game *and* have fun then That is that. I paid my money, got burnt for the price of a cheeseburger, have no recourse. Uninstall. The real end of story.

We talking about to get more updates that add more content or features that give more reasons for some players to keep playing & support this a game. I get bored myself already this game because game missing too much thinks & contents that i like to see. Like suggestions that in there "Mega suggestions" -theard have there what was pinned.

Mostly thin what game missing is "modding support" -that feature could give huge potential for some players & give me more instresting to keep playing this a game.

For now, there is none any good reason to keep playing this game anymore beacuse, devs~ try to make or keep killing this project what still worth to get more attentions.

There's no benefit to developers to keep existing players playing unless the game is a service instead of a product. This is a product. Adding more content MAY entice MORE users to purchase the game, but it's a gamble. Sticky games (where users "stick" to it) don't gain anything from that stickiness.
Would I like to see more? Sure. But the devs have my money already, so... doesn't make much sense to cater to me. I don't even buy DLC lol

Two years of silence? Are you and I playing the same game? The latest major content update was just over a year ago, and the game was updated in July. It's not in "heavy development." As most players have said, this game is a product, not a service game. It was released, had content developed FOR TWO YEARS after that, and is in maintenance mode as presumably the developers work on another game (I speculate on that).

Yes, it's a compelling game, and there's a lot to experience in it. And yeah, I'd play more if there was more to play...but the reality is, it's an OLD game not an abandoned game. The time has to come when a project is simply over. And this is it. If you want a newer game of this ilk, the "60 Seconds to..." series is pretty similar and they just released a spin-off.

Exactly!
Funny story, I'm actually banned from that forum for asking when they'd be totally done with the game. The dev response was something to the tune of "this game is like our child, and we aren't going to kill it."

That was like 2 years ago and they still keep putting out updates. You'd like it, OP.

a lot of times people think games are unfinished but some games are finished like this one.

If you can contact Team 17 or Unicube then just ask them about it

My opinion on one thing about this game still holds true in me. I wish mods were possible for this game. It would be much more alive if it was.

I just wish the current patch gets rolled back. This one introduced game-breaking bugs that weren't present before.

I played the game. I had fun and encountered absolutely no bugs or problems. That would make this a pretty solid game and if you didn't enjoy it, that's just your opinion. In my opinion, this game was completed and there's no reason to expect changes unless you're willing to pay for them as a dlc.
