New Family Members

I have moved shelters twice now. Each time I get a kid as a new family member. Do we ever get and adult as a family member?

Yes. But it doesn't really matter, the game doesn't reflect real life. The kids can do everything an adult can do with one exception: they can't pick up a dead raiders body and throw it in the incinerator, or bury it. They should be able to harvest it though. I currently have a total of 14 family members and 7 of them are children. 3 of those have the couragous trait and are trained up to 20 on everything. They are part of the normal rotation I send out on expeditions, and I don't use traps for raiders anymore. Just have the kids kill them with sledgehammers or rebar.

Thanks for your reply. Something I would like to see is if you raided and kill the raiders then any items they have on them you should be able to pick them up

One way is to backup your savegame before you move.

Once you move and get a new family member that you don't like due to stats or simply being a child, just reload that savegame.
