I have Windows 10 and i solved launch problem (crash) appliyng compatibility with Windows 7 and resolution 640x480. You can apply this stuff by clicking with right mouse on the Bejeweled icon on the desktop and selecting Advanced TAB. Have fun

No, this is not Microsoft's problem, this is a problem for PopCap. Though we can know this is a very old game designed for the older OS's, they haven't been updating it to the compatible versions today. PopCap hasn't even updated this game ever since its release, its just 1.0 and no 2.0.
I'm afraid it's not PopCap's problem- it's EA's problem. They bought up PopCap Games a while back. Therefore one would have to contact EA. Let's just say hopefully problems can be solved here.
I have a 2012 Windows 8 ASUS, and this game runs perfectly on it. This game is also not standalone (as some Steam games are), it needs the Steam app and I've heard quite a bit about problems with Windows 10. So to a point it is Microsoft's problem, assuming this involves the Steam app.
As mentioned before running a game in Compatibility Mode is a good way to start. If updating drivers causes a problem most systems allow one to revert to the previous ones- so if security is not an issue that may be a way to go.
Myself, I have updates set for manual. This way I know what changes, if any, have taken place and can trace any problems from there. It's just that that ASUS never has any...
