Bejeweled Twist

Bejeweled Twist

Bejeweled Twist Autoplay Screensaver and Command Line Parameters
I just now discovered that this games was on Steam. I don't have the Steam version (I have the PC version sold by Popcap eons ago), but this undocumented feature might work as well for the Steam version.

Start Bejeweled Twist by running it's executable with the following command line parameter:

BejeweledTwist.exe -autoplay

The game will start and begin playing a Classic mode game all on it's own, kind of like a screensaver sort of thing :)

Speaking of screensavers:

BejeweledTwist.exe -autoplay -screensaver

...will do the same as above, but the game will exit if you move your mouse or press a key on your keyboard.

Anyhow, this was something that I discovered when I first got the game ages ago, and have YET to see ANYTHING on the Internet referring to it. Like I said, I don't know if it works in the Steamed version, but it indeed works for the old PC version from Popcap.

P.S. Other command line parameters in the executable (that I haven't fiddled much with):

-playback
-noacceleration
-nod3d9
-skipmenu
-artres1200
-artres768
-artres600
-4x3
-widescreen
-play
-recnum
-playnum
-record
-demofile
-crash
-changedir

well i made this video about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUuXkDl-6Mc
Most excellent :)

BTW, what are your high scores? Back when I started playing the game years back, mine were:

Classic: Level 20 / Score 1,468,200
Blitz: Score 446,500
Interesting indeed! This information probably isn't new, but I doubt you could find it anywhere else on the internet now. Pretty much any and all forums dedicated to Popcap games have since been archived or lost to time, so any collection of cool tips like this for Bejeweled games would have to be built from the ground up again.

-changedir is the default one used for playing the game normally.

I can't get the exe I'm using to take in the command line parameters from a CD Installed version.
