FATAL ERROR Invalid command line parameter - changedir THIS FIX WORKED FOR ME

AS many users said(both steam/retail) the game gives the error
"FATAL ERROR Invalid command line parameter - changedir " when opening the game
a few users said to try this... " Just found a solution!
Still doesn't fix the fancy 3D acceleration but the game at least runs!

Go into the BejeweledTwist.exe file properties and under compatibilty enable:
Run in compatibility mode for: Windows Vista
Run in 640x480 Res
Disable display scaling

Hope that works for you guys!" THAT didn't work for me twice (it just leaves a blank black screen after opening) I had to force restart my laptop 2x

I wouldn't RECOMMEND doing that I downloaded the bejeweled twist steam demo
after that I decided to take a wack @ it myself

so I did this :RIGHT CLICKED BEJEWELED TWIST.EXE /PROPERTIES/COMPATIBILITY/AND CHECKED RUN THIS PROGRAM FOR WINDOWS XP SP3 THEN LAUNCHED THE GAME BUT IT GAVE THE USUAL ERROR "CANNOT FIND FILE STEAM.DLL" (WHICH IS A COMMON STEAM PROBLEM/ERROR WITH "OLDER GAMES"
SO I COPIED THE "STEAM.DLL" FILE IN THE "ROOT" STEAM FOLDER
(ITS RIGHT NEXT TO "Steam.exe.old" & "steamclient.dll" AND PASTED THE FILE IN THE BEJEWELED TWISTS FOLDER STEAM/STEAMAPPS/COMMON

the game worked after that without ANY NEED for "640x480" or "dpi settings" or "administrator settings" etc the game ran good with 3d acceleration

this should work with the full game /retail version

I probably wont buy the game I didn't like it
bejeweled 3 has the same problem and the other pop cap games I hear as well (steam.dll and I have it running under windows 7 compactilbility settings

Just wanted to say thanks and confirm that this fix worked for me with the demo version.

This just worked for one of PopCap's other games, Plants Vs. zombies, for me! Thank you so much! I tried so many different "compatibility mode" options, but wasn't quite sure what to do when it said it couldn't load steam.dll. Silly me, I should've known I could just copy it from steam's install directory. Lesson learned, and thanks again!
