Dungeon Warfare
Showdown
Just finished the new stage and I have to say it was pretty fun. First try with no runes. Cant wait to see what it will be like with 8-10 runes.

Not sure if it was intentional or not, but selling the pre-placed barricades refunds you free barricades, allowing you to place them wherever you want (although they go from lvl 3 to level 1 and need to be reupgraded).

This is basically how I completed the stage, sell all the bottom barricades and place one at the spot at the top left where the flyers come through, and two at the choke point at the bottom forcing everything to come through that one spot. Will update with a screenshot as I was an idiot and forgot to take one on the first clear and intend to do it over again to get a good shot of my setup.

Setup right as the final boss is about to die:

Currently level 91.

Dart: 50
Inferno: 40
Spike: 40
Slime: 15
Spinblade: 40
Lightning: 24
Soul Harvester: 10
Frost Bomb: 10
Starting Gold: 35

Everything else at rank 1, including Barricades and Repair. Upgrading Barricades and using Repair isn't needed here (at least without Runes) as the extra free Barricades you get from selling the pre-existing ones can be used to replace any that happen to get destroyed by Dwarves or the final bosses Bomb spawns.

Frost Bomb probably isn't needed either, as I didn't use it through the entire stage until I got to the boss (where it does seem to be very useful). A slightly better setup or slightly higher level Lightning traps would probably make this safe to skip though.

On to 8 Rune & Endless!

Also liking that it shows how many Runes you have cleared each stage with now as well.

Also noticed some sort of laser beam thing in this final stage (Showdown), a glowing pentagram (like the one for the spawn setting for Demons/Liches) appeared over one of the red lined pits and when I clicked on it it launched a big red laser at the nearest enemies and nuked them.

Not sure what triggered the pentagram to appear, will probably find out by the time I finish it with 8 Runes.

In the update notes it was stated that they were sacifice pits so I'm assuming you have to push x amount on enemys in.

Yeah, didn't see the update notes before I started playing lmao. I actually think I can do even better now too because I wasn't even using any of the new level 4 traps.

I just put down info on all the new level 4 traps in the thread here about the wiki if anyone is curious about those.

Working on 8 Rune currently.

I feel as if the HP regen on the boss needs to be looked at in regards to the Vine Rune.

I made it all the way to the final wave with almost no problems at all.

Boss shows up (with 1250 hp) and everything goes to hell. Normal enemies are fine....the boss not so much.

I literally could not hurt the boss.....at all. Vine makes enemies regen 5% of their max HP per second. With Fort + Anchor the final boss has 1250 max HP.

Which means with Vine the boss regenerates 62.5 HP every second.

I am pretty sure there is no combination of traps, even with all traps at Mastery level 50, that is enough to overcome this amount of regeneration.

Not entirely sure how you would fix this outside of completely removing the effects of the Vine rune from the boss (but I don't feel like that is the correct answer).

Just finished Showdown with 8 Runes.

Blood/Scythe/Rust/Fort/Anchor/Nil/Purity/Frenzy.

Pretty sure it is currently impossible with Vine.

Mastery Levels.

Dart Trap: 38
Inferno Trap: 30
Spike Trap: 30
Barricade: 30
Slime Trap: 30
Spinblade Trap: 30
Lightning Trap: 30
Spear Trap: 30
Soul Harvester: 30

Frost Bomb: 10
Additional Gold: 32

Cheers!

I just did it with 8 runes, no rust and no purity. Turned out to be really easy once I got the timing on the use of the sacrificial pits right. I used barricade, spring and lightning. Barricades to force the enemies to walk around one of the two pits, either one will work. About 6-7 springs around the pit, this will ensure a steady flow of death beams which you absolutely need to time right on the last couple of waves. Need to take special care to use the beam to wipe out a couple of the last big flier groups or you will be overrun. Then a bunch of lightnings in the area behind the pits to wipe out the fliers and any fast stuff that survived the springs. The boss can actually be thrown into a pit easily if you use a snare on it when it passes the springs. Bit of an anticlimax but whatever, it works.

Edit: level 50 spring, 15 barricade, rest in lightning.

Blackhole trap got stuck at 2,2 seconds and didnt bother reloading.

How exactly do you complete this level? I killed the boss using ParadigmEnigma's super helpful killbox and the enemies keep spawning. I also see a little green guy where the boss exploded walking in place.

EDIT: Apparently the level glitched out. I did it again same way as before and the level ended right after I smoked the boss.

I loaded all sacrificing pits with enemies and killed the boss, but got no visible reward. Is this just unfinished feature of this level or am i missing something? In combination with outtro message with huge CLOSE button in the middle of text it looks really cheap and somehow unfinished. :/ I really hope in some update.

So, what's the trick with sacrificial pits in here? I fill them all, but nothing happened or unlocked.

Đeath’ş Aļļ | Horst Fuchs // Click it when it's fully filled.
oh, that makes this level even easier than before. But nevermind, i'm ignoring them.

Anyway, what's the story of Dr. Balanced? Why is he attacking my dungeons?
