Report a translation problem
build a 2nd / 3rd thruster as soon as possible. the greenbooster conected as well. use its special as often as possible.
it realy belongs to your starting resources.
when you have 250+ resource you should build 1 thruster, and 1 booster conected to both thrusters, activate thruster skill after! the booster is finished ( get more hexnutz per activation )
always keep some starting resources for weapons.
try to place lasers in corners so you can buff 3 of them with 1 booster attached. use the remaining ( 3 ) places for rocket or shields
how to beat what?
- the swarming ships ( individual modell no hexcells ) are all weak to ioncanons.
- use plasmacanons against lasers conect a booster n a healing station to them. remember plasma canons can be turned around, place them in corners n dont place ion or laser canons next to them ( block the direction toggle ). self heal n healing station will keep them online
- use ion canons against plasma, since they hit attached strutures as well you dmg the boosters n healing stations attached as well. ( also plasma is weak against shields )
- use lasers/rockets against ion canons, they have the best impact against shields
- use abilities against antirocket systems. anti rocket only blocks 1-2 missles per second, they cant deal with the salve of red or green rockets.
once you reached ceti ( first lv7 mechanic, get at least 2 antimissle systems ) when ever you place a anti missle system instant attach two blue-boosters, you want them to return the missles for hexnutz.
boss enemies aint randomized they always spawn from the same direction, so place your strongest weapons in their face. remember the common laser passive it can 1 shot most sector 1 ships with at least 1 booster attached.
most important thing bout sector 1 is early on thrusters n getting full booster value.
for sector 2 you can add conector value...

this is the ship i used for the 2nd half of sector1 n all the equipment i used.
( ghost is the largest n best shp shapewise, 7 cells high mean you can attach 5 thrusters n still have 1 line above n below to add weapons, the sarpcorns mean you can add the medium lasercanons [ remember their ability they can shoot in 3 directions ] )

this is what i mean by booster value, 1 red booster is attached to 3 guns and 1 rocket launcher also the booster as well as the biggest gun are protected by a shield.
same goes for the green boosters, 3 thrusters n upto 2 healing stations attached.

this is free bird, a ship you can buy in sector 1 with free costumization.
freebird will be smaller than most other ships, but the customization allows you to get max value for the cargo n your systems used.
youll understand once you see the spezial cargo the next sectors got, i place those large things on the bottom away from the core systems for reason. ok i cant shoot downwards but there for you ve got rockets n shields ( no need to kill everything )
I already have the Ghost and will now build the mods you mentioned.
But when i look at your updates i don't know if i get enough Resources to built all that stuff.
I think i never had enough Resources to built the ship complete as you did.
Most of the time on the travel i don't even get to kill all the stuff which i fight (most of the time in the beginning, when there are more bigger ships, i don't have the firepower to bring them completely down and don't have the ressources to built all the stuff needed).
But i'll try that setup and hope that i can be succesfull with that.

my sugestion:
- you beginn with VIPER,
- the first ship to buy should be Vagabund (german name, 38 max cells, looks like... angle wings with a head ) or corvette ( 38 as well )
- on colony L87 you get ghost for sector 1 play.
- once you finished sector 1 you also buy freebird.
freebird will rise in size fast if you focus on more hexcells
with freebird you can do the entire sector 2
- at the end of sector 2 you shoul buy freedom ( a larger version of freebird ) this ship will always be smaller than freebird cellwise( misleading, freebird isnt the largest, smaller as long as you dont have more cells than freebird can carry ), but you can customize it way better. also freedom is the 2nd largest ship in the entire game ( once you have all hexcells )
freebird n freedom should win you the entire game. there are only 2-3 ships that can be better but very situational, also i dont remember their names :S
The thing you need to buy/built modules when you're flying in space.
And most of the time, at the beginning of the mission, i don't have enough ressources to kill the first "big" enemies.
And so i don't get that much new ressoruces.
Thats what i meant.
I already have the Ghost, my problem is more the layout/what to built.
But you already have given me a setup which i'll try.
I just meant that the ressources i get over the courses i fly are not that much there that i can built all the stuff you built in your last "complete" screenshot.
But we'll see.

But i'll try them again with you're setup.
I tried it now with a flight from Muroa to Colonie L-87 but as i thought i had not enough ressources to buy enough weapons/upgrades to kill all the stuff which i had to fight.
Perhaps i'm doing something wrong, but when i start i have 300 ressources, so i buy 1 engine (for 100) and when i want to survive i need to have 3 weapons on 3 sides of the ship because i get attacked from 3 sides.
I can place 1 laser at each side and when i wait till the front enemies are there i can place one of the big Lasers.
But for upgrades then i have no ressources left (or i'll loose some of the cargo i'm supposed to carry).
And after that first fight the first big ship arrives(most of the time from the back or back-side left or right) and i need to place new guns there just to survive.
And then the next attack-wave comes up and so on.
Until then i've lost some weapons because i had no resources to buy shields(or upgrades) in time.
So, do i overlook something?
is there a way to make it more easy?
When i try to place the upgrade modules at the beginning i always loose cargo because i have not the ressources to buy upgrades AND weapons, and so most of the time so much that i fail the mission.
i tried to build everything you have on that screenshot, but i had to place the weapons first because of the enemies which were appearing right at the beginning.
also tried now a contract from tortuga to the mines and still got my ass handed to me (as i lost the first 2 cargos i had to transport i ended the mission).
Most of the time there are not enough ressources to build everything i need to destroy the enemies/build upgrades and/or shields.
Thats why i was so surprised to see a fully build ghost because i never have seen that.
most of the mission i was able to finish the only "achievment" i got was that the cargo stayed intact but most of my weapons/upgrades/shields were destroyed/replaced multiple times or heavily damaged.

you build:
2 trusters n 1 green-boost ( all 4 connected )
activate all 3 thrusters
( first wave are small ships from 3 directions. )
you place 1 ioncanon each direction, conect at least 2 of them to 1 blue-boost
( 2nd is a larger ship, in my case 2 laserguns on it from the back )
i placed 1 doublelaser in its direction ( NO boost attached, but added later on )
( the small waves continue )
add 1 more ioncacon in the direction of the larger ships
build a 4th thruster a 2nd greenboost n 1 healing. active the heal to save your ioncanons (should be low on health ( timing! )
in the end of the mission there will be 2 large ships from the same direction. i placed 4 lasers + 3 boosts to manage them ( dont forget their skill you can destroy the bridge, but it should work without that skill as well

Only your voice had some dropouts, but with your help (and your setup) i was able to make the last Story Mission in the first Sector.
So, next question is, should i farm all the modules i can in the first sector (and visiti every station, was not in Neo-Olymp until now, died always on my way there) and what level should i have before going into the second sector?
Thanks for all your help, really made a difference and i was able to get through many ways which were more difficult before(or just undoable).
in the end it doesnt matter which sector you use for farming issues. but usualy people return to sector 1 with there large ships to carry as much cargo as possible at once = easy money. also there is an archivment for carring 40+ cargo at once.
one hint for sector 2: save your white upgrade matirials, you might need them at the very end of sector 2.
Thanks i'll keep that in mind and won't use any white materials i get in sector 2.
Hope i did not screw it up with the use of the 2 i had.
Okay, than i will farm a little more in sector 1 (do some missions which i did not do until now) and then i'll move on to sector 2.
