ending was really half baked
I get the feeling the devs were trying to go with something artsy at the ending but it really just seems to be a gigantic wet fart completely deflating all the tension, which seems almost like the author was going for a dumb nhilistic ending (which in of itself is dumb, since there is always meaning to everything, its just naive to assume it has to be a good one). At least the mass effect 3 ending had some sense, but this is literally shrugging its shoulders.
Like I figured your group was risking their life taking on this large journey for something worth it like maybe there was an evacuation on the west coast, or maybe they were journeying to the center of the anomaly to find out what caused it, but instead it seems like the devs just kinda shrugged their shoulders and said "I dunno" with the ending.
Even the charecters don't even seem to know why the were going down to the coast, all they do is just set up a campfire and presumably die by how they're talking.
It just seems like a gigantic middle finger to the player who put in all that effort, and presumably died several times trying to reach the goalpoint, just for the reward to be even worse than if they just sheltered in place.
It seems like a bunch of stupid kids just crawled off into a cave to die for no good reason, considering how much danger was involved with no actual thought of reward.

Yeah this is sorta facts. I was expecting to figure out how the world ended, or kill a mother boss, but uh. I had 3 dogs and 1 guy. the guy reminisced on how he missed people. thats it.
Maybe its a sorta, its about he JOURNEY not the destination, but thats a low blow for how the game plays.
