how does backpack work?
i have it equipped but it doesnt increase my storage

Chances are, you already have the backpack. Individuals can only carry 2 items at the same time with backpack equipped.

i killed a guy in a trade zone, then i get backpack item. and i take that away

Yeah as I said, you already had the backpack so nothing changed.
