Can't open the vent with screwdriver

Hi, I've been stuck in the 3rd floor inside the small room where I have to escape through the vent. The problem is that when I examine it the cursor keeps rapidly cycling through all the screws without letting me turn them. I saw from gameplays that this isn't the usual behavior, what should I do?

I tried again now and it seems that it fixed by itself, maybe from using fullscreen or windowed mode, but thank you for your response!
