I have a feeling that there's some file outside of the game files that the game writes to. I figured this out by noticing that, even after deleting my saves (to make sure all of the files were gone, when I reinstalled. Don't worry, I wasn't far into the game at all.), the game thought there were save files, and so when the game loaded up on a fresh install, it jumped straight to Load.
Would you happen to know where this file might be located? If I can find it and delete it, it might fix things.
When starting a New Game, the new file also has that issue? Or is this something saved specifically in one file?
It's a problem I've always had, ever since first downloading the game. Every new game I start always has the problem. Every time I want to try something new, I always start a new game, play up to the point where you get the Newest Invention Lv. 1 Key Topic, and then try to switch to the Saymore House Lv. 1 Key Topic. I do it by pressing Shift, and just to make sure, I press the left and right arrows as well, but it still doesn't work. And, when I get to the point where I get Skills, I can't get it to work with either Z or Shift. That said, I tried to get it all to work with an XBox 360 controller, but that still didn't work.
