What do you like more: Vigilante 8, Twisted Metal or Interstate?
These are 3 game series this game is inspired on.
I wonder what if we make a poll, to see the statistics?

Write down one of the these games you like the most in the begining of the message (for easier counting). And then after it any other content :)

Although i doubt there will be a lot of messages, not so popular things these days.

Vigilante 8: Second offence.

Although i've got some nostalgia strike from Interstate 76 this week.

Twisted Metal, but that's not saying a lot considering I never put a lot of time into the other games if any at all. I do believe Twisted Metal had a lot to offer for its time in terms of features and customization, though (that goes for all the games in the franchise).

That being said, the game seems to be heavily inspired by Vigilante 8 more than any of the other old vehicle combat games.

Twisted metal. cuz it have unique characters with theyr own reasons to fight, some lore, recognizable special attacks, maps with complexive geometry, good level design, soundtrack, death screams.... limited lives for single player story which gave some challenge, splitscreen u know. really dont care about lootboxes, cosmetics and dlc's. One and only reason i bought Diesel Guns is a bring back good old days, but seems to be it all was lost forever somewhere on PlayStation 1 cd's

This is going to sound opinionated as well but I would love to see this game become like twisted metal.

Vigilante 8 second offense was absolutely crazy when the giant spider dropped in the arizona location its like an epic moment in gaming because the whole level shakes and cars get launched 10 feet in the air just from the sheer earthquake of the spider egg being dropped in the center of the field.

It even crazier if you let it fall directly on you. You'll get launched _really_ high because of bug/feature :)

Interstate 76. Vigilante 8 was a simplifed more arcady spawn from Interstaty 76 made for the console crowd. Have never touched Twisted Metal but what I've seen it's not for me.

So with that in mind, I wonder if I'd like this one...

1. Twisted Metal 2
2. Vigilante 8
3. Twisted Metal 3
4. Vigilante 8 2nd Offense

I-76 was the first real "story mode" PC game i played in '97.
it was also the first real-time combat game i played online on a 56k modem connection (which was the best most citizen ISP's offered at the time).. there was in-game text chat and everything. it was very immersive and with an active community. Activision fuct up not rebooting this franchise IMO

I've heard that i76 community is still somewhat alive.
Sometimes, you download something for 5 minutes of nostalgia and find out it's still alive and gives more fun than most of the current titles.
Because there are not many games where you can customize and fit your car so precisely to fit your tactics. The only games which come to mind are EVE or Perpetuum.

interstate 82 for being the only game with actual damage and targeted damage on your car (through texture change based on were you were hit but also shape of your car (try slamming the side of a small car with a semi truck and that small car will bend :steammocking:

I-76 and I-82 were the most Car Wars like video games at the time.
4th Option San Fancisco RUSH 2049 Battle Arena on Dreamcast :)
