Special Edition Keyboard/Mouse

I remember playing this a lot the first time around and using keyboard and mouse. Now i know that the 98 version is joystick only, but for some reason, i cannot seem to change the SE version to keyboard/mouse. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Hit Play from the Steam Library menu and it should give you the option.

That's not his question. The DOS version is widely different and graphically inferior to the Special Edition which only runs with a Joystick, he's asking if there's a way to make it run like the mac version which allows mouse support.

That tool is using vJoy which works on Windows 7.

How do I get Special Edition mouse to work like in DOS, the vjoy just emulates the joystick but is far more difficult to use than the DOS version which doesn't drift.
