Tie Fighter Classic - DosBOX config

Hi,

When I run the Classic version of Tie Fighter (as the Special version is broken) it runs at a very low contrast, no amount of monitor adjustment can fix this but I find this typical behavior when running full screen with DosBOX anyway and can usually work around this by using the dosbox config to change the video mode (like you find when you download from gog)

However, when I run the 'DOSBOXconf' file located in '\Steam\steamapps\common\STAR WARS Tie Fighter\classic\DOSBOX' i get the error message "Run DosBOX configurator from start menu"

Well I have Windows 8 so I don't have a start menu, if I run the 'DosBox configurator' shortcut from the previous folder (\classic) I get a message saying that it cannot locate the file, checking the shortcut it is pointing to '\SteamPrep\STAR WARS Tie Fighter\English\classic\STAR WARS® - TIE Fighter (1994)\DOSBOX'

This doesn't even exist so I have no way to change the config file.

I can get around the problem by editing the dosbox_tie.conf file and setting a resolution in windowed mode, still I'd prefer to have full screen.

I'm not sure if the steam version allows for that (i have no idea if it does some STEAM DRM thing) but u could try copying the TieFighter data folder to some other location, setup your own Dosbox with your desired settings and then mount that copy of your Tie Folder and start it from there?
