Lasers suddenly stop working
i don't know why but suddenly my lasers stopped working in a mission. Pressing the trigger doesn't do anything. Also I cannot figure out how to fire missiles.

Sabotaged by those pesky Rebels! :steamhappy:

Sorry to hear that.... I suggest you try Steam Support (click "Help" in the top lefthand area of this Steam page, and then when the menu opens, click on "Steam Support").

Press F9 to increase the recharge rate of the laser. The "W" key switches between different weapon systems (Lasers, Ion Cannons, Missiles,...).
yeah i figured that out. The recharge rate is very slow by default.

I've notices this in the past myself. It often happened when I used space bombs and the unlimited ammo cheat. It seemed there was a limit to how many "shot" that could be flying around at once, and the fact that missed space bombs take forever to expire made it easy to notice.
The default laser recharge isn't slow by default, it just maintains the charge but does not recharge them at all. You need to have at least 1 click into the positive to have them refill.
Heres a hint: Laser recharge quicker than shields do, while shields take longer to deteriorate if they are on less than 50% power.
You can use this mechanic to your advantage and use the shields as a battery for laser power when u need to gap distances at maximum speed. (shields to 25% and 75% to speed works well) Once you reach your destination u dump shield energy to lasers increse laser recharge and fill up shields on every occasion that u see the lasers being maxed. That way you get the best performance out of every system.

You need to play the tutorials. The combat chamber is where you will find it.
Does a pretty good job of running through the controls.
You will also need to remember, K is the keyboard controls. Hit K durring the missions to see all the options.
Good Luck Pilot.

One thing about those missions is that they don't really have an easy to understand order to them. For example some of the missions for more advanced craft cover basic stuff. Normally the first mission just teachs you stuff and the later ones are more complex (doesn't mean they are harder).
