*FastDL For Server Hosts (Clients Auto-Download Maps from a site instead of your server):

Hoobalugalar_X, the official developer (for those who don't know), has graciously provided a paid server for the FastDL system, at least until he implements a workshop/other download system for the maps. So be sure to thank him even more for Codename: CURE and his dedication to it.

Locate your Codename CURE/cure/server.cfg and add these lines:

sv_downloadurl "http://hoobx.com/codenamecure/fastdownload/cure/"
sv_allowupload 1
sv_allowdownload 1

You can also make your own private hosting site at a file host that supports hosting files and direct download. Remember maps must be in a "/cure/" directory on the host.

I've managed to collect as many custom maps as I could find and list download links there. Feel free to add to or edit it (especially if you're able to get the tables to work well). Hopefully this will help everyone find and organize maps.

Place all maps (.bsp) in your Codename: CURE maps folder/directory, where you will see other similar maps:

Windows: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Codename CURE\cure\maps\

Linux: /home/user1/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/Codename CURE/cure/maps/

Actually you can also do this yourself, no cost. Hostinger (UK site version only) offers it free for the sake of promotion. I'm hoping just my link will hold up as the free limits are 10 mbps (theoretically) with 100 GB transfer (I'm guessing per month) and 2000 MB disk space. I guess it should be ok unless the game takes off like a rocket. Let's hope for fireworks!

UPDATE: The file host I was using, Hostinger, suspended the account because they believed it was "abuse", having "thousands of downloads per day". I've been arguing with them that such a thing is impossible, but it's very much like yelling at an automated response robot. I don't expect to ever get it back.

My suggestion: Make a PRIVATE (your server only) Hostinger account and use that instead. Use whatever host you can find that allows direct download from an HTTP and remember to put the maps/files in a "/cure/" directory on your server in order to work.

Read the TOS & AUP of these free host companies, most all of them state using your space for anything other than a website is prohibitied, such as using the space as a data dump like fastdl.

Just a heads up - There may be some disruption to the hoobx.com fast download server today, as the hosting company has identified some hardware issues and are in the process of fixing them - they have said downtime will be approximately 30mins (at some point today), but we shall see...
