What i found interesting in this - soviet soldiers wear panamas(saw it before) and helmets camouflaged with grass. Sadly little chance we could see this in game. But whole film is about little military details. But there are just pictures of Mongolia in the beginning, interesting things start from 10-15 minute.
Are you addressing me, TS or just everyone? For i might look like one who did not know, but i was just all thinking about 1945 battles when wrote my 1st comment, not 1939. And yesterday i watched a film about Khalkhin-Gol operation that i always knew of, but there are so many cool visuals in this film. I had to post it.
I hope timeline of the game would be widened, its lame that Rising Storm is not sticking to one battle and Red Orchestra does. We do lack a lot by this limitation. On the other hand i'm not very happy with the quality of overall product, meaning it uses this damned unreal engine that looks like piece of junk nowadays with all these freezes on hi-end machines and popping-up textures. So on one hand i'd love to see this game widen its story line to involve as much of the WW2 events as possible. (i have to add that i do not support anglo-saxon history where WW2 starts on 1st of September of 1939, for it obviously makes Britain look all nice and noble while evil USSR signed pact with Hitler having no other choice, when our nice and aristocratic Brits betrayed Spain, Austria, Czechoslovakia before and sabotaged all soviet antifascist pact attempts that came before Munich pact. Of course USSR always dreamt to have no pact with so called western democracies *sarcasm* while Germany, Italy and Japan formed anticomintern pact, USSR wanted to be alone against these 3, and one never knows whom Allies would join in this case, history before 1938 obviously showed that Allies would do everything Hitler wants, but warmonger is Stalin of course. USSR dreamt to join anticomintern pact too, according to false western history, otherwise how to explain Molotov-Ribbentrop from anglo-saxon point of view?) But on the other hand i'm afraid if everything of this would be done with use of this crappy engine, there'd be no game like that for decades, and we'll have a cool story written on toilet paper. I dont think Tripwire is already working on Red Orchestra 3 or smth, and its doubtful they would ever do this, sadly. For RO2/RS definately lacks a lot in matter of gameplay, as it uses closequarter maps mostly.
Ya it is untouched and NOT done. BUt in the west people seem to have little knowledge or interest UNLESS hollywood makes a block buster. But HOW long the fighting took place and with SO much caos in 1930's China it does seem untouched.
And yes RS has officially pissed me off. Due to its odd map construction shoe box choices. AND its NOT the eu3 engine at falt. It was choices made to have more appeal on the main stream IMO. For me and my system RO/RS runs GREAT I can say that. But the rectangle maps and CQB DM 101 maps I am getting sick of. Also unrealistic levels of SMG/MG's, spawn on SL and everything both good and bad that does. OH and the crazy high numbers of knee mortars and the stupid flamer. Makes great BOX art i guess.
With that said I still love RO2. Go figure.

Russo-polish war without cavalry? Or how are you going to make cavalry in this game.
Intervention takes much effort to make, and little interest to play. American soldiers visiting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and bringing democracy while Whites murder Reds with help of armies that have colonial interests in Russia? Killing White traitors is always a good idea, but only if intervention goes as background for this, not as the main topic.
