Please help!! No sound in game using my afterglow headset
For some reason I have sound during the intro but when I get to the menu and in-game I have absolutley no sound. Whe I use my external skeakers though it works fine. Yes, I have tried everything, I made sure the headset is selected as the primary sound device in my sound settings, I've tried updating drivers and it says everything is up to date. I've read a few other people having this same issue but I did not see any resolution to it. Is it a problem with the game or steam somehow because I do not have this problem with any other games. Thank you for any help.

PhatCat, did you ever find a fix for this? I too have an afterglow headset and suddenly no sound. Main menu plays but nothing in-game. It can't be a coincidence since we both have afterglows. Must be a driver compatibility issue. Let me know if you found a fix. Thanks.

Indeed, I also have an afterglow headset. So I must agree with lucky.

Hey LuckySIvin, sorry I am just now getting back to you, I have been so busy with summer school and work I haven't had time to get on. What I had to do was select the headset option VIA High Definitin Audio, and also the headphone plug from your afterglow has to be plugged in to the headphone jack on the front of your computer. This fixed the in-game sound problem for me as well as made the headset work in surround sound with the 3 different modes like it is suppose to. It sounds great, but for some reason I get an annoying humming sound. Its not too noticeable when you are playing the game but in quiet parts it is a little irritating. I hope this helps. Just remember, don't select the afterglow headset as your main device, select the other one. I hope this works for you.

its a bit late to reply to this, but i just got the problem of no sound on the game loading, menu, clicking, or . it was as simple as just updating my headphones (turtle beach or realtek high def audio) driver.
