Performance just dropped for anyone else?
Running an i5 2500k, 560ti and 4gig of ram.

Two days ago playing on high on everything and it was running smooth no drops, try and play after RS comes out and had to drop it to medium and even then it is still running really bad with constant drops

Same here

Ran lovely for me in beta, but now it chugs at 15 FPS for a couple seconds if I look around too quickly or aim down sights.

Aiming down the sights just kills it, and trying to use the marksman class is just like nope have 4 fps

Also, anyone else notice if this happens in a single-player variant, such as training? Personally, I have no problems with FPS in any of the training missions. Almost a constant 60 FPS from start to finish.

I haven't tried the training to compare them, I just hope they fix it soon.
RO2 and RS beta had both run really well for me the last week now the merga and it is awful

Also just tested in-game:
Same exact FPS counts for lowest, low, medium, high settings. Did not bother going for ultra because, you know, that would be redundant.

So it is definetly tripwires fault, hopefully they put out a fix in the next few days

I also noticed FPS hit after switching from beta to 'official.'

Bumping this back uyp, because I already did everything advised by a dev and others (such as making sure card and mouse drivers are up to date).

Did all that and still the same thing. How the hell does a game go from running a smooth 60 FPS across the board to suddenly tank to 15 or less when I aim my weapon or look around?

i think the servers running with foliage enabled so tricks that people once played are no longer working ;)
Devoidless May 31, 2013 @ 10:05pm
There are no 'tricks' being done to tweak out more FPS. As stated earlier, all graphics settings do the same thing:
- Start off at 60 FPS
- Drop to 15 or less when using ADS or even just looking around

So unless you are implying that none of this matters due to servers overriding players settings...?

They changed the foliage quality. Low now is what medium was during beta. If you ever noticed at times the foilage would disappear, they changed the settings for it so that the foilage wouldn't disappear.

I understand why they done it, but they need to try and tweak it for the people that got hit hard with a FPS drop.

Same happened to me. Game ran amazingly smooth in beta but feels really sluggish now.
