ROgame.exe has stopped working
I bought Rising storm a couple of weeks ago. I had no problem playing the game (I played 20hours). But today, when I tried to launch it, I got the message ROgame.exe has stopped working, and now I just can't launch it anymore. The same message shows up every time. I have already uninstalled and installed the game, I have tried all the "classic solutions" (like deleting the config folder), but nothing seems to work. Can someone help me ?

SAME PROBLEM. The game used to work up until recently. Not sure if it's a strange coincidence or not.

Verify cache integrity

That always fixes my steam problems.

I found a solution to our problem. I did a couple of things, so I don't know exactly which one of the different manipulations I did solved the problem. I'm gonna try to explain (sorry if I make some mistakes, English isn't my native language)

First thing I did was changing the language of the game (right click on the game in you steam library, properties, change language). I don't think this is what helped, but you never know...

Next thing I did, I went to the C: -> program files (x86) -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> red orchestra 2 -> Binaries -> Win32

Once you are in the Win32 file, right click on the ROGame.exe, click on properties, compatibility and enable the "run this program in compatibility mode for (and you chose your operating system, mine is windows 8). Apply and now you should be able to launch the game again !

I hope it will help you !

I did everything you siad to up to the run in compatability mode. I have windows 8 and it only gave me options up to windows 7. i tried almost all of the other options and now when I try to play it with anyotion it will come up with a notofication then when i press ok another one come up stating that steam is needed to play this game even though i was using steam. :(

Did you enable the "run as administrator" ? If you did you should disable it, I think that's why it says you need to use steam even if you are. Try to "run compatibility troubleshooter"

I tried all of the other ways to fix this and yours was the only one that did. I can play again! thanks!

Yea theres a memory leak issue with newer graphic cards, especially AMD ones. I haven't found a fix for it yet, except sometimes clearing out the ro2 documents file helps. For a while. Sometimes lol
