Stat-tracking with bots
I play offline a good amount and I notice that stats earned with my weapons aren't saved when I leave the game. Do you have to be online to have your stats saved, or am I missing something here?

Yes, you have to be online, and playing on a RANKED server..

EDIT: unfortunately they did not keep the old RO1 system where at least 16 human players had to be on the server to be ranked, you can farm bot even with no human players on a ranked server.... that's lame, play with people.

You also get wins and losses added to your stats while you spectate. I got the "win a territory match" achievement because I decided to spectate before playing the game. I believe I had 1 win and 4 losses before I ever even joined a match

But it would have murdered his K/D ratio.

ehhh, it depends man :P Im guessing that the vast majority of average FPS players dont learn ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the first few....dozen games they play of RO2. They just spawn, die, spawn, run a little, die etc. Most people dont pay enough attention to learn that quickly in that kind of situation. I imagine the only thing a lot of players learn their first dozen games is how to die like a noob..

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks anyway.

even being a bad new player, my kd evened out and is now currently like 1.12 because i have a few thousand kills.

It had nothing to do with my k/d. I wanted to learn the basics, such as identifying teammates, how game modes were played, what type of weaponry was used, and so on. I heard before I bought the game that it was insanely tough for new players, especially teamkilling, so I wanted to try and avoid that. My first match, actually, I had a k/d of 4.94 or something close. After about 15 matches, I'm evening at about 2 to 2.5 and have almost levelled my kar98k to 50

And Why should K/D matter in this game?

Also, I don't blame ya for watching.
