Community thoughts on servers that ban for cursing?

Just was banned from a 2.FJg server for saying "sh**" for an hitting a friendly on accident. Curious what the community (or even the devs) think of those kind of rules? Here we are playing a game about World war 2, where war atrocities were going on. We have a flame thrower pouring liquid fire at enemies, with death rattles playing over head, as someones head explodes next to you. Yet there are servers that instant ban for occassional throwing out a F-bomb.

Yea I understand it's their money their rules, but it's rather hypocrtical in my opinion. Especially if they nit pick who gets banned depending on whether or not they want to take over a role you are playing.

I've always found it hypoctritical to have a "No cussing in my murder simulator" rule.

But, the server providers don't make you sign a "no hypocrasy" agreement before taking a customers money.

Having said that, I do obey the server rules and won't cuss if that is what the mods ask. I figure at the end of the day they are providing a platform for me to play on at no charge. It's a small thing to ask.

2fjgclan regularly brags about banning players for minor to major offenses. You should probably avoid that server to begin with.

As for cursing, it's absurd that these third party server administrators impose rules like that in a game where I can literally watch limbs and guts go flying through the air.

My advice at this point is to email Tripwire and let them know of your disappointment in their decision to essentially 'outsource' management of the multiplayer component of their game to poorly run third party servers like 2fjgclan.

Go to their clan page and request a appeal they are a mature community that likes to keep their servers curse and cheat free if at all possible.

Don't know if I would define a person as mature who can not handle violent language in a violent game. Was more or less curious what peoples thoughts are on this. I'll just stick to other servers. Personally just annoyed games like RO2, Planetside 2, and Arma that have some kind of military theme to them are filled with these over zealous military simulation "pros." Listening to them insult players for incompetance on the "battlefield," but unable to stand the word F*ck. But like it has been repeated over and over, their money their rules.

HAHA. My 3 year old loves Kinder Suprise. I have my ways of getting a hold of some every now and then.

Probably one of the most absurd bans I have ever heard of. Somehow the European kids manage to not kill themselves with Kinder Eggs.

Their server, their rules. You want to be head honcho, you can pay the 40-60$ a month to do so.

While this is true, Tripwire shouldn't get a pass for allowing their game to be manipulated and mismanaged by third party adminstrators. You can avoid bad servers but with Tripwire's official servers permanently empty, there really is no practical alternative to dealing with some of these weirdos like 2fjgclan.

They know they're one of the few servers populated for the US side, think they use that as a way to treat people how they want. My warning to any new players, avoid 2fjg servers, unless you enjoy arm chair generals demeaning you and picking when to ban you if you happen to have a class they want.

Plenty of servers out there pick a different one if you dont like it.
I dont feel like i have to swear in a game, i can hold back for an hour or so. Only people with tourettes have a real excuse.

I think you will find most servers dont mind swearing but as with most things in life you always get one idiot who has to push it too far and spoils it for the rest.

I don't really get the reasoning either, especially in a game where as the OP stated... contains a lot of graphic violence. I'm also really confused because if you play as an American in Rising Storm they occasionally curse, and even the tauting you can use in the radial menu would get you instantly banned if stated via game chat... That said I just don't even bother with typing anymore, most people seem to not care about reading.
