T-70 from the front is almost invincible. You can hit it on the sides and shots go through quite well. Hitting the right hand side is where the engines are.
T-34 the same. Saying that a square hit on any part of that tank with not much of an angle on the shot should work. I've hit T-34 turrets right on the gun and its been sucessful.
Trying with a Pz-III on a T-70 is, again, something to do from the sides. T-34 is toward the back only, and that is if you are lucky.
Still not sure why the Pz-IV is the weakest tank in game and the T-70 the toughest.
The Panzer IV is weak and it makes sense. Your armor is flat, your transmission is in the front, ammo is stored all over the tank, and your armor is quite thin. But the T-70 is BS at times. 2 crew. If I penetrate with an 75mm APCBC, both crew members should be dead. I've hit the turret, waited for the driver to move, hit again, and it still lives.
With a Panzer III, turrets are the most common spot I can pen them from the front. The turret cheeks are quite thin, but take a lot of rounds to kill it that way.
AT rifles depend. If I try for the side of a T-34, I often have trouble unless I get that sweet spot between the wheels where 90% of the ammo is stored. I do love shots to the turret ring that just take out the gunner or loader. I've made quite a few people mad that way. Just continuous kills with that turret ring.
I've never understood why many of the weak points on all the tanks are not the same regardless of if you're firing from a tank or an AT rifle. You'd think all of the AT rifle points would be even easier firing a tank round, but they're not.
I'll agree on that. Its really weird I can take out a T-34 with one well placed shot with a PTRS and yet use a Pz-III firing on the same spots and it results on deflections or shattered rounds.
I wish there were a limited number of APBC rounds in the Pz-IIIs like there were in RO1, as that way you could be of some use in tank to tank battles.
