Low vs Ultra settings in regards to visibility?
Does playing with low settings give you an advantage over playing on Ultra settings? But as of right now I really can't see ♥♥♥♥ on Ultra. When I do see someone I can get them most of them time, but I'm finding it really difficult to spot enemies.

Even if thats the case i rather get few and good kills rather than a whole bunch if it comes to sucrificing the graphics.I just cant bear the game on low. That would explaim howver how i always get sniped at bridges from miles away when i myself cant see ♥♥♥♥.Ill have to test it for myself.

I refuse to lower my graphics settings except if I am going to play something competitvely (No not CS:GO since you get 100+FPS with any GPU).

I play it on ultra settings... Usually, if I concentrate, I can make it to one of the first 5 best scores in a match. I don't feel I'm in disadvantage, but who knows, I've nerver played it in low settings.

I think it's the resolution that makes the difference.

i like how nobody has answered your question directly yet haha, yes, playing on low always gives you an advantage, you can spot people and movement from much farther away. especially if you play on low resolution .

perfect example of this is the first delta force game, awful graphics, huge landscapes, and almost 600x400 res, but you could see people across massive distances because they would be a rectangular pixel that would stand out.

I see.

I'll try playing with some settings turned down. I don't think I'll be able to handle playing at a smaller resolution. I don't want my game to look THAT bad lol.

I'd encourage you not to unless you're an older gamer and are REALLY struggling. IMO it's basically cheating and nobody should take a game so seriously that they'd play on lower setting just to get a cheap advantage. I think the devs intended it to be difficult to spot players

What settings do you think I can sacrafice that will keep my game looking good, but still allow me a little extra visibility?

ignore this troll, he got only 20 hours of gameplay what is nothing in ro , u need a lot more time to understand the game and mechanics especially where ur enemys are .
Pistolero Jul 28, 2014 @ 11:24pm
Several of the servers will kick you for having low settings. Seeking an edge by any form of cheat is cheating, and if you find that a necessary part of your game profile, please don't play with me.

I wasn't aware I was a troll. Thanks for letting me know though. Apparently I can't ask a question without being a troll.

We're talking about changing in-game settings. How is that cheating? I can play the game with whatever settings I please, that's why they're there. I also never asked for your approval to or not to play with you.

And I only play in two servers, and neither of them discriminate against low settings. :^)

yeah, best settings makes you see less sh*t but i love this game for its graphics too and i wanna enjoy it. So if youre looking for kills, decrease your settings ofc.

I don't know, I play on max settings. Again, if you're seriously considering lowering your graphics settings just to get a "competitive" edge (or however else you want to justify it to yourself) you're simply worrying to much about your in-game performance. This isn't the Olympics, it's just a video game, and you shouldn't have to do something like this to enjoy it. Also, you only have 24 hours in, so you're still basically a "noob", you may want to give it some more time

I think it's not really if you can see the enemy because of ultra settings but because of the fact that you have more grass and ♥♥♥♥ in front you and you might think that it conceals you but the other guy only sees you sitting on empty ground.

So instead having to lower graphics try not to use the vegetation as cover. Like even if the other guy has ultra settings too he might not still see that grass and ♥♥♥♥ in there over a distance.

I used to play on low on my old PC, now on ultra on my new one. I perform the same.
