I don't use Wif Fi, I use Netgear and the broadband is strong. But if you're telling me that invalid packet is something to do with internet connection, then that is mighty strange, I usually have no issues. Another strange factor is both me and a friend got kicked from the same server at the same time for the same reason the other day, "Invalid packet" ? I live in England and he in Germany ? But thanks for the reply, I thought the forum was dead.
Netgear is a system that passes the broadband through your electricity cables using plug in adapters that plug into the wall sockets, thus eliminating the need for cables running through the house (but my apologies if you knew about it). It's a system I've used for a couple of years and is widely available through computer stores and online merchants like Amazon. I have no issues with it, playing other games, connecting to steam, watching You Tube, downloading files and uploading videos to You Tube. I'm not understanding why the idea is my internet is the reason for the "Invalid Packet kick". Like I said, it happened to me and a friend simultaneously the other day and we live in different countries.
Ok just bad terminology, my apologies. I'll just stay away from the game if that's the case. Cheers for the info.
Hmmm, a cable is plugged into the adapter. One from the Hub to the downstairs adapter and one from the upstairs adapter to the PC.
It's ok, seems it's just confusing. My friend and me have played on numerous servers in various parts of the world, even south American ones which meant a high ping but we both had no issues. The match I posted the original question about was on a European server and the ping was quite low, but I've been kicked a number of times from that server for that "Invalid packet". Well, thanks for taking time to try and help, it's appreciated.
Thanks for the advice nNeo
If you and your friend had te same problem at the same time, maybe it was the server who had a problem. Which server was it ?
