Why does anti tank not work?????????!?!?!?!
No matter what angle i shoot the AT gun from, wether it's front, sides or rear. EVEN point blank, IT DOES NOT PENETRATE. Anti tank grenades does not work either! How the ♥♥♥♥ are you supposed to combat a ♥♥♥♥ing tank when you dont have any tools to counter it?

also in the steam workshop, there is a mode for tank combat. you can train yourself as a tank or anti-tank. pretty helpful and useful.

if you wanna destroy tanks, just you need practice, experience and good positioning. an experienced tank player always hides tank's weak parts. so for that reason, you have to kill crew members of a tank (there are 3 crew members) when all of them have died, basically, tank destroy itself (self-destruction) and you are gonna receive the tank kill.

thats all.

I have something like 1400+ tank kills, 99% are from AT rifles, one shot'ing the Panzer is easy

One thing about tank gunnery tho is that you do not see crew damage because there isn't one except AI tanks in the enemy spawn, wish we could. :(

I do think that destroying tanks with the Anti-tank rifles is kinda difficult (this coming from a person who sucks at destroying tanks). I think it's easier to get a 200 meter kill with a Walther P38 than destroy a tank, because last time I checked, humans don't ricochet bullets (for the most part). Maybe if you're like 76, you can destroy tanks pretty easily, but I can't for some reason. I guess that's what you get when the Soviets and the Germans field obsolete anti-tank rifles that use obsolete cartridges.

It greatly depends on the tank you're fighting as well. The T-34 will be more difficult, as in most circumstances, you'll only have a chance to shoot its turret ring and if you're lucky, the side tracks.

It takes time, a lot of practice and even a little bit of luck but its worth it.

With the Panzer, aim for the very lowest part of the hull (front on) where the armor slopes backward... as in if you aim any lower you'll shoot under the tank and miss altogether, it is where the ammo is stored.

With the T34 aim at the turret ring slightly to the right and you'll kill one by one the occupants... have yet to one shot the T34... also between the track and the hull at the height of the top of the track... but its a tiny target and hard af to one shot.

That said I have both AT rifles at lvl50 so that helps.

Alright, thank you guys for the help. Apologise for the slight "raging" comment at first, i was very frustrated because there was this guy just camping with a T-34, making enjoying the game hella hard, lol

It's cool, and hey, desperation calls for desperate measures, there's always ninjaing your way over to throw an anti-tank grenade.

Tip about the at-nade, don't throw it "at" the tank unless you have to, throw it "on top" of the tank where the armour is weakest, this usually one-shots the tank.

In reality the 14.5 AT rifle by this stage of the war was obsolete and damn near useless unless a side or rear shot, or breaking track. The reason Germans put side skirt armor on the IV was specifically for the Eastern Front ATR threat. In game since no actual towed AT Guns, or Assault gun type TD's the ATR was given 'super' abilities.

On the Pzkw IV aim for the tow hooks on front lower hull, a one shot. The little black square to the right of main gun, the machine gun 'ball' left front upper hull, or the driver vision opening, and finally turret ring, fewer shots required, on side the side hatch on turret, center lower hull, rear lower hull. rear, just below muffler assembly.

T-34 is tougher. Driver vision blocks, turret ring, from front, side is as usual the center lower hull just above road wheels, and almost rear just above road wheels.

AT grenades are funny in game. The German is actually a magnetic HEAT mine, not a thrown grenade, IRL you had to actually run up and stick it on tank hull. Russian grenade had to be thrown high arc so it landed top down for best penitration, other than that just a blast grenade, rand the bell of the drew and broke stuff hopefully.

Anti Tank rifles are useless. Engineers are way better at killing tanks without the stupid limitations of the at gunner.

You just need to learn the weak spots..... 1400+ tank kills and 99% of them from an AT rifle.
I kill far more tanks, far quicker and with zero deaths with the ATR's than AT nades.

Yes, but not everyone is a veteran uberscharfschutzen wizard RO2 player like you 76... admittedly levelling the AT guns up to level 50 is a real help, plus taking note of the weak spots on each tank & memorising them is of great benefit. Panzerschrecks & Panzerfausts would have been good in RO2, even AT guns 37mm 47mm etc, Bazookas (the British PIAT is included in HOTW), but alas, you can't have everything... where would you put it?
Cheers peace respect to all & be nice to your Mum!
