AT granates, small throw range though!
The PzIV typically has a harder time against AT rifles though.
Thank you for your reply your answer does help me out.
But their is a spot on a t34 that will always be a one shot "from my exprienece" and it is towards the rear sides"only works with a Panzer 4". The turrent ring on the t34 is the only real weak point from the front, and i have had mixed results. I did destroy a t34 with a mg32 by firing a burst into the driver port when it was opened, cant say if this common since it was my first time doing such a thing.
As for the apc's, the russian troop carrier has more armor than a m1a2 main battle tank. You could fire a million armor piercing rounds into the thing and it would survive, with HE rounds doing nothing what so ever. The germans were capable of defeating such advanced russian armor tech by using standard satchel charges or AT grenades but the only other way to take it out of action is by killing everyone inside it with bullets. Ive seen russian teams abuse this fact by placing them into choke points on certain maps.
An AT rifle can pentrate through the armor of the german apc and kill anyone in the bullets way and a AP round should destroy it instantly.
In short, this game is utterly biased to the russians when it comes to armor. But we get the mg42 so i quess everythings ok.
Both the Germans and Russians used a jacketed 'steel' core bullet in thier small arms, and the 7.92 and 7.62X54R could and did penitrate the light armor facings of the UC as well as SdKfz 251 at close range, and penitrated wood walls and thin stone or brick.
The game has issues, is it Russian centric, not as bad as many believe. There are things that are not reality for sure, but so far best we got out there.
To the Original Poster:
No, the Tiger tank hasn't been rebalanced, there is no Tiger on any of the maps, only Panzer II and IV for Germans. RO2 isn't like the earlier versions of RO, there are few tanks if any. A couple maps have a tank or two and that is it, basically infantry support roles. It is an infantry game, except for one map that, that is all tanks I can think of but I rarely see it in any rotations. So to answer your question about your big concern over balancing a tank that isn't even in the game...NO.
Although all the combined arms maps with a tank or a couple and everyone else infantry support are fun as well.
