STAR WARS™: X-Wing Special Edition

STAR WARS™: X-Wing Special Edition

Joystick and Throttle
I have the Thrustmaster hotas t16000 and was wondering if it would be somewhat compatible with this game. I had played this game decades ago but never had a flight stick and always wanted to play it a flightstick and throttle

I have an old Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 that I pair with a Thrustmaster TWCS (the TWCS is basically just the throttle of the t16000). Games like X-Wing Special Edition won't recognize two devices. The Thrustmaster Hotas T16000 might have software to help you emulate, but I just use Joy2Key. It's free and incredibly simple to use. I map what I can with the flightstick in game and use Joy2key to map controls for the throttle. Joy2Key even lets you have multiple profiles for different games and also copy profiles. This comes in handy since X-Wing Special Edition, Tie Fighter, X-wing vs Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance have a lot of the same controls. So you won't have to create entirely new profiles. You can just copy and paste your first profile for each game.
