Special Edition crash on mission completion

As the title say, I do the whole mission (Tour 1 Mission 2) with the A-Wing, identifying each crafts and then, after scanning the last one, the game just crash as soon as I identify the last ship. It happened to me two times in a row. The first time was without the modified ddraw.. and the other one was with the modified ddraw.dll. It happened both times, exactly at the same moment.

Update: I've played Tour 1 missions 1 and 2 in the X-Wing Collector's CD-ROM (via DOSBOX), without any issues: Mission 2 completes just fine after all crafts have been identified.

i7-8750H @2.2 GHz

Windows 10 build 19041.928
Steam version: Apr 12 2021, 1618256785

I vefiried the game cache and it found a couple of files that were not okay. It didn't crash after that. It seems that it crashed at a moment where the music changed. So maybe it's related to a music file problem or something.

Hi, this sounds like what may be happening to me. I have completed Tour IV Mission 19 twice now, and both times it has crashed when the Corvette reaches hyperspace (Mission Complete). How may I go about verifying game cache??? Thanks.

I haven't had any crashing whatsoever in X-Wing or Tie Fighter after I disabled the Steam overlay and launching the game as an administrator.
