A-Wing? There never was an official expansion by that name. X-Wing with TOD 1-3 was first, followed by Imperial Pursuit (TOD 4), then B-Wing (TOD 5). This game comes with TOD 1-5, plus the six bonus Historical missions from the CD release. A-Wings, Y-Wings, and X-Wings were flyable ships with the base game. The B-Wing was added with the expansion of the same name.

The X-Wing miniatures game does have an A-Wing expansion pack.
Do have a photo of it? Curious. The A-Wing was part of the original 1993 DOS release!

I agree, why would there be a expansion for a spaceship that was in the game from the get go.
As far as I know X-Wing only has Imperial Pursuit and B-Wing Expansion. If that alleged A-Wing expansion actually exists it would be a rare collectors item. Just like the Dodge Neon Interactive Demo that Tie-Fighter got.

As others have said, the A-wing was included in the base game. The two expansions for the DOS release were Imperial Pursuit and B-wing.

Pics of your disks please! If only for old skool DOS xwing pron.

I have the floppy disks for the A Wing expansion.. 100% there was an A-Wing expansion. I still have all the disks, cartridges and CDs for PC / console gaming I've ever owned. Atari 800XL, Amiga, Jaguar, C64, DOS and Windows

You are absolutely 100% confused, or you like to tell lies.

There was never an "A-Wing" expansion and you have no such discs.

Stop it. You are a Gen Z or younger end Millennial trying to sound like something else. That's obnoxious, and people my age can see right through it, so you might as well give it a rest.

It's entirely possible someone sold him a non-existent item playing on the fact he didn't know any better.

Still, if you could put up a photo of these disks, that might help us sort out your confusion.

It's an expansion missions disk for the A Wing

Interesting. X-wing or TIE Fighter diskettes include a copyright blurb next to the LucasArts logo, which is absent in that photo. There's also no stylish 3D perspective on the "A" as there is for the "X" in the original X-wing floppy. Whatever it is, it's not official.

I'm quite curious what is on these disks. The original five disks for X-Wing generally looked like that, though the Imperial Pursuit and B-Wing expansions looked quite different. However, they all indicated a disk number ("Disk 1", etc.) This appears to be lacking that mark on the lower right. I'm not sure what the white rectangle in the upper right is either. None of the other disks had a mark there. It's not the write protect switch, since that is visible below it.

I don't have the box art anymore and I don't remember what it looked like. I bought it at MicroCenter at the same time when I purchased the B-Wing. I doubt they would have sold something that was not licensed but was like 25 years ago so maybe so

Yeah that's fascinating, and dodgy. Still though. Base game 100% absolutely definitely had the A-wing included in 1993. To the point that literally the 2nd TOD mission has you flying one.

The rectangle is a holographic sticker that faintly has the lucas arts logo on it. Its very scratched up though

I know someone who worked for LucasArts back in the day. I'll see if he knows what it is.
