Potentially
Totally agree, I loved X-wing so much.
We had a 286 processor at the time, and unable to use EMM386. The game required EMS memory, we could only use XMS memory, and had to find a way to get it to run in 640K conventional memory.
Spent hours / days tinkering with config.sys / autoexec.bat
Could only manage upto the level where you have to recon the capital ships in your A-Wing, lasers and shields off, going maximum speed to outrun the tie-fighters.
Always crashed as it run out of memory :'(
Good times!
thank you and good day
I drool at the thought of XWings and TIEs in elites graphics.
I'd also vote for remakes of Freespace 1+2.

Now that Disney and EA has dismembered LucasArts there is no way we are going to see another SW ships simulator of this nature.
