The game keeps crashing every time I try to start it.
Please tell me I didn't just pay for something that doesn't work. *pokes ubisoft*

so, for a 10$ game, we need to invest in a new graphic card... thank you Ubisoft. I hope this will be patch soon...
I hope the players on console won't have to by a new one...

My VGA cooler goes loud when I get the error, it's bizarre.
So many AAA games uses 3.0 or 4.0 shader, why this have to use 5.0 if is dx10? Sorry, but I'm really sad.
Possible Solution.

I was unable to run the game at all. It didn't matter if I pressed play from Steam or Uplay, it would pop up with the CD key thing and I hit play once again and then nothing happened. I ended up downloading a cracked version of the game and when I tried to run it, it had an error (something about a .dll file) and upon searching for a solution to THAT error, I came across this.

I downloaded the three files (once you hit download) and repaired what was already on my computer. (The _arm file didn't run at all). After restarting my computer, I tried to run the cracked version, and it took me to Uplay and wanted me to activate it. Of course, I didn't have a spare key so I didn't. Then, from my library, I pressed play on the real copy of AC: Chronicles: China and it worked. Sorry for the long post as I'm not sure what steps led to a solution, but now I am able to play the game and hopefully just installing the files from the link will allow others to play as well.

Look in your Event Viewer and see why is crashed. There might be a clue to what's going on.

How do we determine what the problem is and how to fix it once we've checked the Event Viewer?

When I hit download on those files, it doesn't even start the download at all ? I click try again still nothing lol
same problem here. ACCGame-Win32-Shipping.exe stop working
Same Problem... Ubisoft you SUCK
Has anyone of you guys tried to run it in Windows Vista SP2 compatibility mode, like I suggested on the previous page? I would be interested to know if this helped anyone.

For everyone, not knowing what I'm talking about, let me quote myself from another thread:

I had the issue that the game crashed every time, I switched to full screen. Made me really mad, because I wanted to upload the first episode of my German let's play of this game.

Then I tried to run it in Windows Vista SP2 compatibility (track down Steam\SteamApps\common\Assassins Creed Chronicles China\Binaries\Win32\ACCGame-Win32-Shipping.exe and switch it on in the properties) and it runs flawless since then. I hope this helped one or two of you guys.
Screw it i'm asking for my money back. I can't believe i can't play a 2d game.
Hey all,

Could you please verify your PC specs with me and that they meet the minimum requirements?
Called Ubisoft. Video card isn't supported and it doesn't look like anything older than 450 is. Currently asking for refunded credit from steam. Good luck guys.
I already figured out my problem, it was the video card.
i too same problem
They don't have AC Chronicles China on Steam Support, so I don't know how to ask my refund

Yep, me too.
Hope I get a refund. I checked my system requirements, I don't want to change my GPU now, the game is great, but I think the Ubisoft Admin coming here and blame us for not checking is not cool. I can run AAA titles with my GPU. I doesn't critczing the company, but I really want my money back, I'm not on a good financial situation now.
