The formula on the wall

That formula on the wall led me to discover something amazing about Google! I did my best to rewrite it into terms google could understand, not sure if it's right or anything, but copy/paste this into Google:

(8x+3y+67)/sqrt(8^2+3^2)

I knew Google would solve math problems for you, so I typed it in not expecting it to be able to understand it, but apparently it does!

Now .... how the hell does that apply to the game?

It's actually just telling you the numbers to press on the keypad, both the top and bottom numbers do two different things.

Without anything else, you'll never get both x and y.
But it turns out that x, y, d and that square root are all useless...
That square root is just for making it looks more like sqrt( square + square ) , which misleads me for Pythagorean theorem[en.wikipedia.org] and makes me think that d means "diameter" or something.

Just stumbled across this one! The equation actually resembles the formula for the distance of a line from a point, with α=8 and β=3.
