Report a translation problem
As I mentioned in the OP, it's not because of distance. I'm not referring to something like him being in room 7 and me using an audio cue in room 1, I mean that sometimes he doesn't respond to audio cues in adjacent rooms, either. For example, he could be in room 9 and would ignore an audio cue in room 10 or 8.
Followed this strategy.
