Can Springtrap ignore the audio cues?
I've been trying Aggressive Nightmare mode for ages now. Sometimes he just doesn't follow the cues. It's not because of distance, I'm talking between rooms 8 and 9.
Does he just ignore them sometimes?

if springtrap is to far away from where you hit the audio cue yes he can and will ignore it cause he is to far from it

As I mentioned in the OP, it's not because of distance. I'm not referring to something like him being in room 7 and me using an audio cue in room 1, I mean that sometimes he doesn't respond to audio cues in adjacent rooms, either. For example, he could be in room 9 and would ignore an audio cue in room 10 or 8.

Worse. The game sometimes doesn't seem to register Springtrap's location immediately after he moves to another room, making the audio ineffective when it happens. Of course there's not much time to be patient and wait since he can pretty much move twice instantly sometimes and errors will haunt the whole night. It's a bit of a matter of luck too. Try to keep him away from 09 and 10 since when he tries to get there he'll most likely alternate between the two vents, and his speed sometimes makes it impossible to save yourself. Try to keep him on 06 and 07 for as long as you can with Vent 12 sealed. If he gets to 02, it's time to seal Vent 15 unless he goes way back to 06 by himself. You can actually survive for quite a long time just having him walk around between cams 02-03-04 and the front window by just using the audio on 02 when he's in front of you. That's how I won. Again, be patient, luck is involved. If he wants he can just move quicker than your audio recharges.

yea but your on agressive most likely spring trap is room hopping faster then you think and if he ignores audio cues then he is to far away

Followed this strategy.
Beat it first try.

Thanks! Insane, because I've been trying for ages now. All I have to do now is go back to FNAF2 and do the custom night challenges, then I'll have 100%'d each game. Thanks again, couldn't have done it without the advice!

To be honest I had to search up a little too, but you're welcome. So far the hardest for me has been FNAF2 at maximum difficulty. I have serious problems with animatronic spam.
