What are the phantom animatronics and why are they there..?!?!?!?!

Ever since FNAF started, I immediately fanBOYed all over it. I became a `FNAF Theorist' and now that 4 is about to come out, I'm trying to figure as much out as I can about FNAF 3 as I can before 4 comes out.

NEW THEORY:
Why does springtrap have springlocks in the first place? After the first springlock death, why didn't they remove the locks from the suits to keep anybody else safe? I'm a noob, so I have NO idea what they are for... ANYWAY! One more theory that might bring up a little bit of discussion... Why did the purple guy think that it was safe to go into the Springtrap suit? Maybe the children aren't able to enter the suit because it's a hybrid, since they all possessed the old suits, why WOULD they be able to manipulate the Springtrap suit or anything inside of it?

True, not to mention, Golden Freddy is a ghost, but he can still kill you. I think the only reason you get errors from the Phantoms is because time passes when they jumpscare you, so an error appears, making it look like they caused the error, even though it was coincidence. As for the reason why the Phantoms are there, it probably shows that the bad ending is the real one, but the Phantoms now only act as hallucinations to torment Purple Guy even more (notice how the Phantoms start appearing from Night 2, just like Springtrap?).

They can't remove the locks from Springtrap. They're built into the suit. The only way to get a Springtrap without the springlocks is to make a whole new one. Also, the springlocks are for people to get in. You see, Springtrap is an old generation of animatronics, called spring animatronics, which are supposed to be both animatronics, and be able to fit people in so they could use the suits. As for the children not possessing Springtrap, they could possess Springtrap, but the thing is the children really had no control when they possessed Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. The Puppet made them possess those suits, shown in the Give Life minigame in FNAF 2. I think the Puppet kept Springtrap for Purple Guy, who btw is still possessing Springtrap, although he's forced to act like a possessed animatronic would (normal during the day, agressive during the night), either thanks to the Puppet mind controlling him, or Phantom Bonnie controlling Springtrap.

this is my theory so correct me if i'm wrong,i think the phantoms animatronic jumpscare you to tell the nightguard that he is not safe there because the presence of springtrap wat we know here purple guy is already inside springtrap.just play the game and phantoms animatronic start to active in night 2 and so springtrap.maybe they just want to tell the nightguard to get out form the building(sorry for bad grammar english is not my first language)

It could be true, i mean the phantom animatronics also have some strange burn marks, which are there for no reason, i mean Purple Guy never burned the animatronics (Phantom Freddy, Chica and Foxy are supposed to represent their dismantled versions, probably put back together without the damage repaired) in the FNAF 3 minigames, so probably the burn marks are supposed to warn the guard about the fire, which was probably caused by Springtrap.
