Have you received a music Copyright Claim from Lynne Publishing?

I have received a Copyright Claim on my FNAF 3 video from way back in 2015 from Lynne Publishing saying they represent game musician Pawel Blaszczak. And they do. I tweeted Pawel and this was his response:

Hi, Yes, Lynne Publishing is representing me and they are not scam company. If you want to have the copyright claim released from your video, you can license the track from http://Shockwave-Sound.com . And ... (check part 2)

(Part2) If you don't want to pay for licensing the track, you can just leave the copyright claim on the video. The video does not get blocked, and the copyright claim does not have any negative effect on your Youtube account standing.

I can understand musician and artists wanting to protect their works, but with something like FNAF 3 where you don’t even have the option to mute any of the sound effects in game and the sound design is so important to the experience, this just seems like another blatant Youtube Copyright Claim cash grab. Hope they enjoy those pennies my video has made, I see they clearly need them more than me

For my video they're claiming the use of the song "They're Standing," which is the entire menu music for FNAF 3. I have no idea how much of Pawel's music is in the game or even the series, but that's the song they've used to hit me with.

Looking through his songs, looks like that's the only one Scott used, tbh it's pretty scummy to copyright strike someone because a game they played happened to use that music

Not a strike, a claim. Claims are what people use to make money off of someone else's video, a strike is when people want the video and the channel removed. So as long as I keep my video up all the ad revenue from it goes to Pawel and the company that represents them. I wonder if the larger channels like Jack Septic or Markiplier have received these claims. Probably not since they're under large Networks that protect them from this kind of harassment, must be nice.

I think that's illegal, or it should be

I used that in my dispute against the claim on my video, that Scott has approved Let's Plays to be made off of his games, it's his work, not the muscian's

The only chance of that working is if they miss the email and don't respond


they'll probably just wait until last minute to dispute it so they can take the money

I also want to stress that NO ONE should harass this musician about this. I just want to spread awareness about the situation. They have every right to copyright their music as they see fit, but if they want to pull this kinda stunt, I have every right to not reward this kind of bad behavior. So, if they're gonna copyright claim FNAF 3 LPs and videos, well Scott I'm sorry, but #LetsNotPlayFNAF3 because your community doesn't deserve to be preyed upon :/

it's deffinatly not the musicians fault, it's all on the company and Youtube
