Stuck on rocket

I've changed to robot and used both his powers but rocket won't move. For some reason I haven't faced Mech Chsameleon yet. He was announced but I never met him in my ascent.

You cannot use the rocket until after beating the Mechameleon and beating the section of the dino-dome (dome full of dinosaurs). Teleport back to the Emperor's throne (I assume you did reach that part). Then drop from opening left where his throne ship was. You should reach an enclosed area with a saucer. Jump on it and it will lead you straight to the Mechameleon.

Thank you Mr Developer. I'm guessing so. There was a cut scene referring to the Mechmeleon but then I carried on up the tower and never heard of it again.

Actually I don't appear to have reached the Emperor's throne. There's a teleport zone marked "entrance to the Red Palace" but I find that I just keep going round and round up and up. There's one interior with some techie computer stuff and that's it.

If you reach the rocket and can't launch it go back down until you hit a major platform. Choose the correct exit and you have to beat the Mech Chameleon. Beat it and the rocket unlocks.

Sorry to hear that. I didn't have any problems in falling off - and if you do there's a teleport button to instantly restore you, Cracking fight after you get to the top.

I'd say after big fight you'll have completed 75% - 80% of game. There's a pretty tough platforming bit next - even the play through guy on You Tube took two shots.
